An attorney and former legal journalist, I provide communications services for a variety of clients in the areas of higher education, business and law. I specialize in writing and editing press releases, feature articles, blogs, presentations, newsletters, marketing materials and Website content. I also enjoy serving as public relations counsel for overall strategy issues as well as specific initiatives. Previously, I spent seven years as an Associate Director and Senior Associate Director of Communications at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During that time, I planned and implemented strategic communications initiatives to both external and internal audiences, served as a media relations and issues management advisor for faculty and students, handled day-to-day media relations by pitching stories and fielding press calls, provided writing/editing support for senior administrators, created monthly e-newsletters, and wrote feature articles for the Wharton Alumni Magazine.
Prior to Wharton, I was the managing editor of Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly as well as a news and features editor at Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. I’ve written hundreds of articles on significant cases and topics including real estate, insurance, healthcare and employment law. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia and Northeastern University School of Law.
